      The Lyceum Marketplaces are curated on a rolling admission basis.  We seek to program a vibrant mix of repeat and new artisans and purveyors.  We collect up applications and create the market organically, accepting the same way one would build a sculpture out of clay.  Thus we do not do all of the acceptances at one time, even for a particular category.

       

      Once we have selected an artisan an acceptance email is sent with a link to the registration page.

      The selected artisan then has 10 days to complete the paperwork and submit payment.

      If the selected artisan does not complete the paperwork and pay on time the slot is released and given to another artisan.

      Lyceum Marketplaces are designed to get the shopper out of the malls and into the local handmade/artist/artisan scene.

      To that end the Lyceum marketplaces have raffles for some interesting things.  You can't get a raffle ticket without a proof of purchase form a marketplace vendor.  So, come early and load up for birthdays. anniversaries, the holidays and just in general.

Lyceum Fall Marketplace - 2011

October 15th and 16th from 11AM-7PM. At the one and only Brooklyn Lyceum. Crafts and other handmade goods, food and activities.

The Second annual Lyceum Fall Marketplace is on the horizon.

Mid October for two days of Lyceum perusing, shopping, food and activities.

Looks like a mix between a regular market  and many activities to draw those shoppers in.

  • Raffles will be back.  Prizes will be added to the list weekly as we hit August.  Raffle tickets will only be available with a proof of marketplace purchase.
  • Subsidized runs will be back.  Every vote for an arts group will again require a proof of purchase.
  • Tours of the Lyceum from top to bottom will be available.  Regular folks haven't seen the cellar or the roof for decades.  Again tickets can only be purchased with proof of Lyceum Marketplace purchase.  That and a waiver.
  • Tours of the surrounding area.  The Lyceum will be a weekend home-base for some tour groups.
  • Try-outs for some Lyceum sponsored teams (Adult Baseball, Basketball and Bowling teams).  Tryout only with proof of Lyceum marketplace purchase.
  • An eclectic set of foods from some new indie purveyors and some restaurants.
  • Beer.
  • Whisky tastings at a local bar(its a permit thing).
